Rapid Response: HymonBio Launches Monkeypox Test Kit

In response to the growing threat of Monkeypox, HymonBio has launched a Monkeypox Test Kit (PCR fluorescent probe method) that can detect specific nucleic acid fragments of the virus. There agent uses the company’s unique MoLock and DIDC technology, suitable for accurate diagnosis of related diseases. It has the characteristics of fast detection, high sensitivity, and high specificity, and is compatible with conventional fluorescent PCR platforms.

According to the World Health Organization, more than 12 countries have reported a total of about 80 cases of Monkeypox virus, including the United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, the United States, Germany, Italy, Australia and other countries. Symptoms of Monkeypox virus infection are similar to those of small pox, but the clinical severity is milder. The incubation period is usually 6 to 13 days, and may be as long as 21 days. Initial symptoms include fever, headache, and swollen lymph nodes. After a few days of fever, it develops into a large rash on the face and other parts of the body, which may lead to secondary infection and serious death. WHO recommends diagnosis based on epidemiology, clinical symptoms and laboratory test results. Among them, qPCR method is an important and easy-to-operate technology platform, suitable for large-scale detection.

HymonBio uses their reserved molecular detection technology to initiate a rapid response; the kit targets highly specific and conservative segments in the sequence of the Monkeypox virus. After rigorous testing, the kit can accurately identify Monkeypox and help with diagnosis and prevention. At the same time, the company is actively promoting overseas registration of the test kit.

Technical Characteristics of the Monkeypox Test Kit
