The 11th Congress of Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology was held in Nanjing on January 13. Among the attendants include: Secretary of the Provincial Party and Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, Xin Changxing; provincial governor, Liu Xiaotao; and Chairman of the Provincial CPPCC, Zhang Yizhen. Dr. Tammy Tan, Chairman of HymonBio, attended to meeting as a representative.
At the opening ceremony, Secretary Xin Changxing delivered his speech congratulating the conference on behalf of the Provincial Party, the Standing Committee, the provincial government and CPPCC, and extends sincere greetings to the vast number of scientific and technological workers in the province. He fully affirms the remarkable achievements of the Association of Science and Technology in the past five years; clearly proposing to speed up construction of a strong province with high-level sciences and technologies to send to a new journey; contribute to writing a new chapter of Jiangsu modernization following the ideals of “strong, right, beautiful, and high”; putting these four hopes into the countless workers in the province; calling on everyone to make new contributions in promoting the deep integration of scientific, technological, and industrial innovation; promoting the integrated development of educational and scientific talents; improving the scientific quality of the people; and carrying forward the spirit of scientists.
In his special report, Governor Liu Xiaotao stressed the need to “cultivate and strengthen local enterprises, stabilize stocks, pay heed to increasing capital and expanding production,” specially pointing out “strengthening Suzhou biomedicine” and the need to promote the development of Suzhou biomedicine industry. This is highly aligned with HymonBio’s mission to further cultivate the field of cancer early screening and safeguard the health of the people using scientific and technological innovations. This points a direction for our development as a local Suzhou biomedicine enterprise!
After listening to these speeches, Dr. Tan felt their mission is grand with a heavy responsibility. She says HymonBio will comprehensively and thoroughly implement the spirit from the conference, maintain the original intention of serving the country with science and technology, use the “four orientations” as a guide, increase R&D investment, focus on core technology research, and compose a new chapter in Jiangsu modernization. We will introduce HymonBio’s wisdom and strength!
