Chairman of HymonBio Attends the Overseas Chinese Community Spring Festival Activities

The coming of spring warms the hearts of the Chinese. At the end of the old year, reunion is the starting point of a new journey. As the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival grows ever stronger, activities of overseas Chinese in Taicang city welcoming the holidays have come to a successful conclusion. Dr. Tammy Tan, chairman of the Federation of Overseas Chinese in Taicang Port and chairman of HymonBio, was invited to attend the meeting. She gathered with returned overseas Chinese, their families, and representatives to share her deep feelings and talk about new developments.

While sharing stories, Dr. Tan affectionately reviewed the past ten years of Taicang growth. Taicang—winner of county-level “ten consecutive titles” and considered one of the happiest cities in China—is also the witness of ten years of HymonBio’s history.

For the past ten years, HymonBio has superimposed their own patented technologies onto the Nobel Prize-winning PCR platform, improving detection sensitivity 100-fold. These results have been validated at PerkinElmer’s own North American laboratories, giving Round A investment. They have integrated AI with life science to launch their own Pan-Cancer Screening Test Kit, which can accurately screen 28 of the most common high-incidence, high-mortality cancers using only 5 mL of blood, decreasing testing costs to only a fraction of similar products based in the USA. At present, it has received EU CE and undergoing FDA Breakthrough Device Certification. So far, the company has received FDA EUA and was the only Chinese company to be cited by the FDA Commissioner.

Dr. Tan especially thanked the Taicang Federation of Overseas Chinese for actively brokering and facilitating the establishment of important cooperative relations between the company and academicians at the Royal Australian Academy of Sciences, fully demonstrating the role of the Federation in linking global resources and serving scientific and technological innovation.

After storytelling, Dr. Tan conveyed the feelings of home, the country, and the heart of a child through the song “A Wish,” her sincere feelings resonating throughout the audience. As the chairman of the Federation of Overseas Chinese in Taicang Port she firmly says that in the future, she will continue to perform her duties well, actively build brights and ties, unite more overseas Chinese talents, take the initiative in scientific and technological innovation, industrial upgrading, public welfare, etc., and jointly contribute more to the high-quality development of the biotechnology industry and write a new chapter of Chinese modernization in Taicang.
