Dr. Tammy Tan, CEO of HymonBio, was invited to Egypt for exchanges and in-depth discussions from April 15 to 17. During the visit, Dr. Tan visited Cairo University and the Egyptian Cancer Hospital.
During her visit to Cairo University, Dr. Tan gave a special lecture entitled “Breakthrough of Liquid Biopsy Technology”. She explained the great potential of gene methylation detection technology in early screening of malignant tumors, and introduced the relevant research and application of gene methylation in colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, bladder cancer and other cancers. She also gave a detailed explanation of the advantages of liquid biopsy in malignant tumor screening and related research, and demonstrated the latest research results of HymonBio in the field of early screening. The speech received great attention from the professors present.
After the lecture, Dr. Tan had an in-depth discussion with school leaders and oncology experts of Cairo University. The two sides discussed the promotion of key scientific research cooperation in the future.
Visit to the Egypt Cancer Hospital
Dr. Tan was also invited to visit the pathology laboratory of the Cancer Hospital and held discussions with relevant experts there. Both parties introduced their respective research fields to each other and discussed cooperation matters. Dr. Moatza Elzemeity, Chief Medical Officer of the Egyptian Cancer Hospital, highly praised HymonBio’s early screening products. In this exchange, the two sides achieved a preliminary cooperation intention, writing a new chapter in China-Egypt early screening cooperation.
This visit not only deepened the relationship between HymonBio and its international partners, but also provided strong support for the company to explore the international market and further promote “going global”.
