On September 8, the 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade held its opening ceremony in Xiamen, Fujian Province. President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter, highly commending the Fair to serve as an effective platform for deepening practical cooperation among global investors and its positive role in promoting an open world economy.
This year’s CIFIT, with its permanent theme of “Expanding Two-Way Investment and Promoting Global Development,” was hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and attracted elites from around the world to Xiamen. Attendees included Jiangsu Vice Governor Fang Wei, Jiangsu Provincial Government Deputy Secretary-General Xu Huaqin, Bank of China Vice President Yang Jun, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce Director Si Yong, and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank’s Financing Partnerships Director Mr. Rodrigo Salvado, as well as other local government leaders, representatives from foreign funds, and financial institutions.
