On February 19, the Second Council of the Suzhou European and American Alumni Association (Suzhou Overseas Students Association) was held to study and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, review and summarize the work of the past five years, deploy the next stage of key tasks, and elect the second council and leadership team. The meeting deliberated and adopted the report on the work of the first session of the Council. Zhan Qimin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and dean of Suzhou Medical College of Soochow University, was elected as the chairman of the second council, and Wang Wei awarded Zhan Qimin a medal.
