On the afternoon of December 4th, the founding ceremony and the first representative conference of the Overseas Chinese Federation in Taicang Port Area (at Fuqiao Town) was successfully held. Li Wenhui, Secretary and Chairman of the Party Group of Suzhou Overseas Chinese Federation, Cha Yan, Standing Committee Member, Minister of Propaganda and United Front Work Department of Taicang City, Zhu Yongming, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Taicang Port Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Gu Xiaochun, Chairman of Taicang Overseas Chinese Federation attended the meeting.

At the meeting, members, chairman, vice chairman, and secretary-general of the first committee of the Overseas Chinese Federation were elected. Dr. Tammy Tan from HymonBio Co., Ltd. was elected as the Chairman of the First Overseas Chinese Federation.
